THE CARTER BURDEN CENTER Bringing together individuals who are dedicated to helping our city’s seniors.
The Carter Burden Center Associates is a group of diverse young professionals who want an enriched volunteer experience with the elderly. The group offers a wide range of activities, giving everyone a chance to participate in what interests them most. Associates create free events for seniors such as a winter dance, a museum tour or a bus trip and sponsor them through their own fundraisers. Some participate in Saturday meal deliveries to homebound seniors and others are friendly visitors. They meet monthly to plan activities, host their own social events and have opportunities to interact with the Board of Directors. We understand the busy schedules of working professionals, so we offer flexibility of involvement.
