Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program (MMAP)

MMAP is a collaborative project with the Medicare Rights Center and the
Brookdale Center on Aging of Hunter College to reduce problems older new Yorkers face in obtaining Medicare and/or Medicaid benefits. A Health Care Coverage Specialist working in the Carter Burden Center is available to provide counseling and representation to individuals 60 and older who have health care needs that should be met by Medicare and/or Medicaid. We would also like to offer these services in other community based centers on the Upper East Side. Our Health Care Coverage Specialist can arrange on-site visits to various senior centers in the area.
