in New York City. The Carter Burden Center offers a variety of services benefiting
the elderly at locations throughout the Upper East Side. Carter Burden Luncheon Club & Senior Program provides socialization, recreation, and education through on-site meals, classes, trips, and monthly birthday and holiday parties... Community Elder Mistreatment & Abuse Prevention Program combats elder abuse by assisting victims and providing community education programs... Crime Victims Program works closely with the police in the 19th and Central Park precincts to assist people who have been the victim of a crime.. Cultural Connections allows older adults to attend specially designed programs at Lincoln Center as well as museum events at costs below the usual senior discounted rate... C.V. Starr Adult Day Services offers a recreational and therapeutic day for older adults who are experiencing memory loss...
Homebound Unit provides comprehensive services to the community's most isolated elderly so they can remain in their homes... Support & Discussion Groups such as the Chinese Language Group, the Women's Discussion Group, and the Alzheimer's Support Group for Adult Children are held along with Caregiver clinics... Walk-in Unit provides services to those individuals who are able to leave their homes...
