Volunteer Recognition & Recruitment Party

 Saturday, October 21st 30 seniors and 10 Burden Center Associates spent the day in the North Fork of Long Island tasting wine and checking out pumpkins. The Burden Center Associates is a group of young professional volunteers, to learn more about he Associates click here. Thanks to one of the members of this group and the Scripps Howard Foundation the trip was made possible. It was a beautiful fall day, with teh sun shining and teh wind blowing. After a wind tour of the cellar and the vineyards, lunch was served alnong with a tasting of teh winery's finest. They stopped at a farm stand on the way back to the city to pick pumpkins and go through the corn maze!
